@dtrain67 What part of your game for $1-2 NL would you recommend improving first? And what would you recommend watching or reading to do so?

Very first thing, pre-flop strategy combined with understanding player types. Immediately after, understanding why you bet. I am really new for poker, started playing less than a year ago. With knowing what you are doing preflop it makes post flop decisions a lot easier. A lot of 1-2 players are either semi-professional players or recreational players who play maybe once a week. I’m an oddity in that I play maybe once or twice a month but try to better in between.
WIth knowing some preflop strategy you will be able to better guess where you stand post flop against certain players. It can save you a fair amount of money and earn you some as well.
I found a number of poker vlogs, Andrew, Brad, Matt Vaughn and another called Poker Statistician. The last doesn’t upload anymore but he goes into some of the math for his decision making. Upswing poker has some free articles once a week or so for subscribing and there are other poker sites that are slipping my mind.
Thank you for getting back to me. Do you play any online poker? if so have you ever played on poker stars?
No I don’t play online. It’s illegal in my state and with the line of work I have it would be very bad if I got caught.
