    Hello everyone

Here’s a hand I played a few weeks ago, I noted it but never posted it, thinking it was pretty standard, nothing much to talk about…
But as I was thinking back about it, I got curious to know what other people would think of it.

    Here it goes :

1/2 nlh, i open A♦️Q♦️ UTG to 7, there’s a call or two in mp/lp. Then SB (who is at the table since 20 minutes or so and whom I haven’t seen play much) 3bets to 21.
I thought my habd was to strong to fold and I have position on him, so I call. Limpers fold, we’re HU to the flop.

    Flop(42)
    A♥️K♦️x♥️
    Villain checks

    You guys bet here?
    Thanks

I check the flop from UTG almost every time. You have already defined your range as pretty small holding. I see no reason to narrow it further OOP. Not sure if it is correct.

I can see the logic for check/check on the flop.

In the moment, I might not – but, we have Ad, and Ah is out there, so, it does limit, A combos, which he can have.

If a blank .. like say 7c, comes on turn, If he bets, are we just calling, or raising ? Maybe a mixture ?

    Thanks guys for your answers.
Rick, I like your post, the only thing is : we are in position.
But I still agree with what you said.

At first, I thought it was an (almost) obvious bet, but the more I think about it, the more I think it should be a check. It’s just that I don’t see much of a portion of his 3betting range with which he would check/call and that I’d be ahead of.
And when I’m ahead, I don’t think I have 3 streets of value.
