Bad session, maybe that led me to make poor decisions and overplayed that hand? Or maybe it’s just variance.
Playing 1/2, i’m about even (or down 20ish). Been playing for nearly 3 hours and I won 2 pots, one of them placed me up +160, but couldn’t keep my profit, dropped down back to even.
Now there’s 4 limps in front of me and I find a monster : ATo in mp, I then raise to 12, and two of the limpers call.
Flop is QT6r
V1 checks, I elected to cbet, 26 into a 36-40 pot.
V2 (short stacked fish) folds
V1 shoves… oops, didnt noticed he was that short, he’s all-in for about 47 total…I felt kinda commited to a call, what would you guys do?
Maybe it should’ve been a check on the flop, maybe a smaller bet if i want to b/f, or a b/c is standard maybe…Thanks for your advice, i’ll reveal the outcome after a few responses 🙂

But if your going to raise over 4 limpets you should be making it like 7-9x the BB.
Then when two limpets cal we can comfortably put them on small pairs. Some suited connectors and suited broadway. This flop kind of crushes a limp calling range. Better play would be to check evaluate. Since your hand isn’t nutted really at all. You are never getting better to fold and maybe get worse 10s to cal. So your bet would accomplish much outside of bloating the pot or letting some blow you off your hand.
This is a pretty marginal cbet IMO. But as played. You have to call.
But definitely for some advice. Try to be aware of everything at the table. Stack sizes do play big into decision making. Knowing effective playing stacks should change the way you approach a hand. Then to give accurate hand histories try to take notes or make post very soon after the hand so we are getting a lot of info for the hand. Also player type is helpful for an accurate analysis.

I thought about it afterwards, not sure about the flop bet. Is it for value? Then i hope to get called by KT, JT, T9.. maybe some gutshots like AK (which would have limped… possible) KJ for an oesd, J9 (oesd as well).
Or is my bet a bluff? Whishing to get a top pair to fold? (Never gonna happen, especially this shallow).
There’s one more reason to bet and i think that this is what i had in mind. Protecting my range. When I iso, i’ll often have a Q, some tens and broadway draws.I think I might have bet just to take the pot down. If im called, i might be good, if not, i got outs. But i didn’t really expect a c/r…
I called off and had a surprise!

I don’t hate the cbet had we been deeper. Maybe this short i should’ve checked?
