1/3 NL with $300 max buy in. I’m on about $300, late middle position. UTG and middle position limp for $3 each. I raise to $20 (4x BB +1 for each limper). The table has been playing like a 2/5 and I’ve seen people call preflop with 3/4o for $15.
HJ, Cutoff and Button all call for $20.
Folds to UTG who is small stack and shoves for $60 total. I call for $40 (probably a mistake) planning on shoving to a raise from anyone but HJ who has played kinda tight so far.
HJ shoves for $250 with 2 behind him, CO and Button fold.
Call or fold for $250 into a pot of about $400 or $450.

There is a lot of dead money in there and getting three folds at this point wouldn’t be a bad outcome considering you still have to beat UTG at showdown.

Once you just call the raise, the HJ can shove relatively wide as well knowing they will almost certainly get folds from everyone else (unless you’re trapping with Aces). As played I would still call.

How I would have played it? Definitely need to raise here. Last thing you want is to play QQ multiway, and UTG’s raise is so small you might get some more callers, and with QQ you want as few overcards in the field as possible. When you get more callers that increases the chance both and Ace and a King beat you. I would make it at $175-200. You might entice a hand like TT or 99 to call if you don’t jam. But all-in isn’t a bad idea either.

Raise to $20 is great. 3 callers and back to the HJ with a $60 raise. Pot now has $140. As John S points out, no way HJ or other player has Kings or Aces as there was no additional raising. There’s no question you have the best hand. So 1, I’m calling the HJ. He could read your call as weak and simply looking to isolate all in player and push you out. 2, I prefer to see you raise up the UTG raise. Limp 4-bet is never a good thing, but your losses are capped there. So now you now you have HJ isolated for another $210. There’s always a chance the HJ called $20 not anticipating two more callers, but just not likely unless he’s a bad player. -
