A tight player has limp-called pre, snap called flop, and lead into a large field on the turn. Another tight player has called both of those quickly. All on a board that is wetter than (insert inappropriate sexual analogy). I’m folding, and I’m folding fast. I don’t know much about the table, but if they are truly tight and passive, they aren’t making moves (or, at least, they aren’t both making a move).
A few other notes here: I think pocket 9’s are a good 3-bet pre-flop. You’d be able to clear out some of the weak suited hands, and some of the weak connectors. Make it about ~$50. When you bet at the flop, was it for value, blocker bet, or trying to find out where you are? $20 is a decent blocker bet, but you don’t really get any information from it, and I doubt you fold out any hands that called preflop
If you feel like gambling, you could call the turn and hope for a paired board on the river. But that’s not (in my opinion) good poker. But what the hell do I know, plenty of other, smarter people in this forum
I assume this hand went to show-down, so what did they have?
