Hey guys very curious to hear some feedback on how I played this hand. I was playing a $5/5 NLH game in a private club in NYC when I get dealt AcKc on the button. My stack is at about 700 right now. This is only the second hand at this table as it had just been formed and is currently only playing 6 handed.
Action folds to the cutoff who limps. I raise it up to $25 on the button. SB folds, BB calls, Cutoff calls.
Flop comes KQ6 rainbow. Actions checks to me, I throw out a $65 bet and get called by the BB.
Turn is the 3 of diamonds which makes a flush draw. BB checks. This time I bet $90. He tanks for a bit then starts counting chips and raises me to $190. I snap call,
River is the 10 of diamonds so flush draw gets there. He leads right out and puts me all in which is about $400 and change. I tank for a bit then decide on a fold. I put him on something like QdJd or maybe he even turned a set. Either way I’m interested in hearing some feedback. This player did not show his cards but I did win my chips back off of him 2 hands later with pocket jacks lol.

The only thing I might do differently is size a bit smaller on the flop as it is not a terribly wet board. But I do tend to think pot control first.

If so, then I think his river shove is fairly likely weighted to value hands such as sets, straights and two pair. So your fold seems reasonable to me. Appreciate any feedback on my feedback!

I also like a smaller flop bet as Steve said. Once you bet that big I think you’re really only going to get called by sets, two pairs, Kings, and JT. Once he calls flop I’d be a little concerned he has a very strong hand and might check back the turn myself. We can really only get value out of a hand like KJ, KT, and JT. That’s not a lot of combinations and we have blockers to some of them. Nice river fold though.
