    2/5 NL, $800 effective

UTG+1 is an angry dude who is holding a grudge for me rivering a straight against his flopped set earlier.

I open to 15 UTG with AQcc. UTG+1 raises to 50, folds back to me and I just call.

Flop comes 532 with one club.
I check and he bets 45. I call.

    Turn offsuite 6. Check/check.

River 7, not completing any flush draws.

I lead for 120 and he loses his mind complaining about how lucky I always get against him. He moans “Ofcourse you have the 4” and folds JJ face up.

I normally always muck…but decided to show the bluff.

I was worried that he would see through my bluff because really what could I be raising UTG that would have made a straight. I guess maybe 44 or A4 suited or MAYBE 89suited, but honestly I am too timid out of position and would likely not have opened those hands UTG.

I am terrible at playing out of position and most big hands I lose come from these type hands with AQ, mid pairs or suited connectors in early position.

    1) Should I be 3betting preflop with suited AQ UTG v UTG+1? If so, what do I do against a 4bet?

    2) Should I show the bluff to anger him further and hope for a light call later or just muck as usual.

1- You would be 4betting yourself, not 3betting and personally, i really don’t think it’s a winning proposition….if utg+1 is super loose and aggressive I could understand why but since live players are usually pretty strong when 3 betting, i could even consider folding offsuited ones.

2- YES! you should show him the bluff for sure to tilt him even more. Once he loses his mind he will lose his money….just gotta be lucky enough for him to lose it to you. Once you show him the bluff, try not to leave the table for restrooms, take a walk or a break, since it shouldn’t be long before he loses his stack.

3- I would probably like your bluff more if you were to bet the turn. It would put ALL of his hands in a tough spot and if vilain isn’t really good at hand reading I don’t think it matters much that you don’t have many 4’s in your range from utg.

4- As played you can’t have 98s…how the hell would you have called that cbet? lol
