Playing some 1/2 with a $100 max buyin. Just got moved from a broken down table so had no real history with the players.

Sitting on button with 77 and $115. One limp, folds to HJ (villain) who makes it 15. I hadnt seem him play many hands but a raise to 15 seemed to be his standard.

I’d often entertain a fold here but decided to take a flop in position and see what happened.

Flop – 263r. Villain bets $30 into 35. I think about it for a while and come to the conclusion that he could be doing this with far more bluff combos than value hands, so decide to jam for my remaining $100, hoping to get him off his overs and not have any peel on the turn or river.

Villain snap calls and shows AA.

What do you guys think about this play? It’s not something I would usually do with the ‘bottom overpair’ but interested to hear your thoughts and criticisms.

i would just call and see a turn card, and see what he does on the turn

    7 comes out, great

but u should have folded the 77 because the pot odds are not there

    if he fires, snap fold.
