Hello fellow poker fanatics – I’ve been playing the game for the past 19 years now, Holdem for the past 14 or so, mostly online. Been playing under various aliases, game types including multi-MTT/SNG up to 10$, multi-cash/zoom/turbo full ring/six-max up to 0.25.
I revisited poker in these years every 2-3 years for 6-8 months, but eventually I either got bored or the variance got the better of me, and I usually ended up burning through my slowly built bankroll in a matter of hours or days. Maintaining discipline in work life leaves a lot less for other activities, and the mental focus needed to make the leap from rec to reg was simply not there; not to mention bankroll management.
Now I’m determined to buckle up, stop the blaming game by recognizing when I’m playing bad poker – and start the bankroll grinding from zero to hero. Expect me posting my worst beats followed by miserable tries to justify the obviously C- game – and give it the hell it deserves.
