Day 2 blinds 4-8k 1k ante. Hero Q10s (diamond) utg. Hero open to 20k (stack 150k). Villains (stack 200k) min raise to 40k. Hero calls. Flops 4d 8h 9s. Hero check. Villian bet 40k. Hero call. Turn 2 diamond. Hero check. Villian bets 60k. Hero calls. River 4spade. Hero check. Villian check. Villian wins.

Hero thought: Q10 diamond in late tour it’s a decent hand to play. I was going to fold if Villian 3 bet then I would have fold but since it’s only a min raise it should be a call. On the flop, I check, and Villian bet 40k, I called bc it’s the same amount as the peeflop raised. And if I hit J on the turn, it would be the nuts therefore I call. On the turn,2 of diamond, gave me a flush draw and a straight draw therefore it’s a check call and if I miss, I could still fold on river, which exactly happened.

From UTG, Q10s is a super easy fold, especially this late in the tourneament. Even more espcially more when you are re-raised preflop.

Fold here and wait for a better position to play your 19BB stack.

Okay. I should have folded. What if it wasn’t a r erased preflop? How should it be played?

Personally, I think just folding this hand from UTG is the best bet. From button or SB, that’s totally different. Especially when you have 19bbs.

Go to http://www.floattheturn.com and check out their shove/fold/raise charts. They are amazing.
