    Hi Guys,
Wanted to get your opinion on a 1-2 NL hand I had, actually it is 2 hands.

I am the dealer with AA
One limp to me in middle position
    I raise to $12
    Small Blinds completes the 12
    Middle position folds
    FLOP: A, 2, 7 (2 diamonds)
    Small Blinds checks to me
    I bet $12
    He folds

How could I extract more value from this hand? Should I have checked?
This scenario also came up where I had KKs on the dealer, another small blinds completes my raise to $12 and I flop K 3 7 (2 hearts). I bet $12 and small blind folds.

    Thanks, RK

Nah – nothing you can do when a flop like that comes out. You can go with a higher variance route like checking back and hoping to let them catch up. The hard part is that if they get too far caught up, you could end up over-playing your hand and losing big money.

Take your $30 pot and move along. Always better to rake it. Cheers!

    I agree 100% with Ian

I would even add : by betting half pot, you still leave your opponent good odds to draw, you can’t really bet less than that 🙂
