Background on the table, I’ve played quite aggressively and have noted its been noticed by the table. This particular opponent a few hands earlier I had bluffed a big bet in a big pot on the river after missing my open ender and he had called me. Apart from that hand not much on him other than standard 1/3 player limp calling a lot.

I’ve got roughly 650 to start, chips are in the rack ready to leave, villan covers (after my failed bluff).

UTG limps I get Kings in UTG+1 make it 22, get 5 no less than 5 callers.

Flop comes Q92 rainbow. checks to me I bet 50, one call then the small blind makes it 165. I call, other player folds.

Turn 6 hearts creating a flush draw. Now he just jams for roughly 450.

    What should I do?

Will comment my thoughts during the hand and after the hand after a few replies, with the outcome

Six ways to the flop… you have to think that there’s a set out there… and possible two pair Q9.

I think you have to find a fold here… Eager to see how it played out.

Tough one. I play 2/3 a lot. See this play by ppl with top pair good kicker all the time. Don’t think he jams a set much. Def Q9 might play it this way too. Or other 2p maybe. My decision would be based on player. You may have him but he def thinks he has the best hand…he doesn’t think he is bluffing.

Also you only have 187 invested and its 2:1 on the 450. Seems like a fold is best…but folding is no fun

Thanks guys… at the casino I play at theres a 20 second time limit then you can pay 1 BB to have 30 seconds more.

I really needed more time to think it over properly, but in the moment I used all the time I had and the extra time I paid for, then with about 5 seconds left I thought I had no idea what to do, I dont mind losing this money but I would love to have all of it and I called. (not very analytical but ended up being my decision with the time I had).

So he shows Q9 off suit which does make sense apart from the call pre flop. River an Ace lose the pot.

My thoughts after the hand when I had more time to think are, that if he’s betting this big it wouldn’t be a set, as he would slow play a set on a board with not really any draws, therefore he’d look to get as much value as possible by not scaring his opponents away. Then it just comes down to solely does he have Q9 or could he think he’s good with KQ or AQ here against me. After thinking about it for a long time I still dont know whether or not he would do this with KQ or AQ. But I definitely dont think he would have a set here. So ultimately I still dont know what I should do! I dont hate a call or a fold.

I also thought that King Queen or Ace queen might be better hands to call with as I have eliminated sets from his range and if he does have two pair they both give me more equity to call with then KK. Anyway, any thoughts on my thought process here would be appreciated! (not my actual thoughts during the hand as I literally decided it for no real reason!).
