    Hey guys,

    Here’s a hand I played yesterday. It’s 1/2, I think I was sitting on around 200.
There’s a limp in MP, I iso AThh on the CO to $10.
BTN, SB and BB call (limper folds)

    Flop (40)
    JTx ss
checked to me, I cbet to 20.
BTN calls, SB folds, BB shoves for 74 total (54 on top).

I ended up folding, thinking my 2nd pair would never be good vs a c/r on 2 players.
BTN calls with KQ for an oesd,
    BB shows KT and holds.

So I would’ve won a nice pot here, but I was still ok with my fold, I thought it was the right move. Then the more I think about it, the less I’m sure about my play (lol).
What do I get value from? : KT, QT, T9, T8, fd, sd.
What do I lose to? : AJ, KJ, QJ, JT, J9, J8, sets.

Maybe it was a little bit of a thin spot to bet?
On the other hand, I’ll have jacks on my opening (or iso) range, so betting makes sense, (protecting my range, or my perceived range…)
But since I got some equity, some showdown value, maybe it’s a good spot to check!?
I guess the answer would be “if I check here, I should check my Jacks some times” isn’t it?
(and if I bet my Jacks all the time, then I should bet when I miss as well… but here, I don’t really miss, but I don’t hit that hard either… yeah, maybe it was a spot to check?)

Let me think what you think about all that,
    cheers 🙂

I don’t see much wrong here. I might size up the PFR due to the limp, but those sizings are often table dependent.

I would bet flop too, you have a pair and top kicker on a draw heavy board, you need to charge the draws. After you get check raised, I think you have to call if you are the only person in the pot, given how draw heavy the board is and you block neither the straight or the flush. But with the button calling your raise and still left to act after the check raise, I probably fold here too. Chances are one of them has a jack and you’re drawing thin.

BB’s raise was really questionable with that hand, he just got lucky that the multi-way pot made the best hand fold.

Agree with your analysis. I’m playing it the exact same way. C-betting and folding to that check raise into two players with very few exceptions.
