    Hi

How do we play with those players who can call any amount pre-flop as long as they have suited hole cards?

I feel it is very difficult to know their hand range as it’s wide open. Even if you bet 70% pot size on flop and if such players have some hope they will call. Now you are more worried as you really don’t know what their hole cards are.

Even if you have good hole cards and you have hit the board they will still call as long as they have hope.

Community pls help me on how to handle such players. specially how can e read their hole cards/range

Two things. Ed Miller who is a poker writer that Owen is a big fan of, suggests that playing suited cards has a lot of equity. I agree. However I do agree with you that some players will never fold suited cards. But Miller also talks about not worrying about the draws. If someone is calling on the draw, then you are a large favorite and you should be betting for value. There are a couple of ways to think about this… you do want to deny some equity, but you don’t want to bet them off the hand. Also depends on the player… If you know they will never fold their draw… then get max value with a stronger bet. If they are a tight player who is worried about not hitting, then bet the right value that you think they will still call, but still giving you value. This way if we bet for more value on the river, we’re happy with a fold as we were able to build the pot up. Bottom line… if you believe you are ahead, bet for value. If they complete their draw. So be it… it happens, but they are twice as likely to miss than hit.
