Mew to the site but been playing for many years. Mostly play low stakes 1/2 or 1/3 just trying to get better at it. Closest casino about 3 hrs away but play in a card room in town. Finally trying to build a bankroll. Hard with 2 kids in college lol. But getting serious about now.

About me: A week ago Thursday I was forced into “semi-retirement / career change”, Ya, I got fired! So I’m about to turn 55 and and I am now a dinosour in my former profession. I wish I could just turn to full-time grinding BUT that’s not a realistic plan alone. I have daughter A in college and daughter B in HS. Luckily my wife has a stable job and we plan to set ourselves up on her income and downsize for now. I am leaning towards starting my own sales company as that is what most people who have been in my spot in my profession do. I think this will actually give me some additional time to Grind and I am looking forward to that! I have played poker since the early 2000’s and always looking to learn more about a game that never fails to entertain me. Take Care!

Boy what an up and down session seat 5 was an ultra aggressive and I caught him for a double up might have been a donkey play on my part just got tired of his play. But in my defense had to pair with straight draw. Lol he was mouth agape after my all in call. Rest of the table were kinda happy he was caught tho.

At least you have something interesting happening along the way to the exit. Doesn’t sound like a donkey play if you had a hand. Sounds like you got more value than normal because he couldn’t slow down. That is his problem not yours. You dealt with the situation at hand as best you could, nothing wrong with that.
