Not sure if I played this right. I’m in the button with 8,10 off limps around to me I raise to 35 only one caller flop is 7,9,j rainbow I bet 50 to try and get value should I of made this bigger? The caller raises to 150 so I go all in for around 200 total and he flips over pocket jacks turn is 2 and river is 2 I lost to a boat I don’t know if I should of just bet bigger after the flop any help would be appreciated.
I like the bet. I don’t know how many limpers were there, but I guess the pot on the flop is around 70 (a bit more ´cause of the limps, a bit less ´cause of the rake, so let’s say it evens out to 70) 😉
50 into 70 is a pretty good bet, imo, it’s rainbow, fairly connected, you have the nuts, you want to get called by pair+draw hands, top pair, you also want to get raised by sets and 2pairs
You managed to get all the money in with the nuts. Villain has outs, but you’re still almost 2:1 favorite. The board ran out pretty bad, unfortunately, but I think you played the hand pretty well.
