    Hi,

I was playing in a 10handed 1-3 game ($300 effective stacks) and i raised KcJd in CO to $15 and only the BB called. FLop came 1023 with 2 clubs and the BB now donkbet out for $25 into a pot of $33. What do you do?

I ended up folding and SHE showed me 64hh.

In a headsup pot as this situation and me being the PFR do you guys give up that easily on that particular board or do u guys peel/raise?

I am willing to give more details about the hand. MY first time here and first time ever on a forum so please be easy on me but please help me and lets bounce some ideas.

I think heads up you need to call and at least see one more card. In a large multi-way pot I feel that folding when you miss the flop is fine. Heads up, a fold on the flop with one bet in front of you just seems too soft.

The flop is obviously much better for the big blind range. The villain obviously knew that and led out with the gut shot. She could easily have flopped two pair. So I don’t mind the fold. I personally would save my calls in that situation for the times I had an overpair or maybe ace king.
Of course, take mental notes on that opponent and use it against her next time.

Peeling is fine you have position. But the $25 though… does makes you kind of double take like wtf is she doing.

I’ve seen maniacal bluffs from some women too, just leading every street into multiple opponents in a limped pot, on a stone colder praying it gets through.

I think your fold is fine. Much like Steve said, maybe calling down when you have a stronger holding like an over pair – especially since you mentioned you were unfamiliar with this player and couldn’t really know otherwise that she’d be firing away like that with just a gut shot.

Thanks for sharing. I think with 2 clubs and 2 overs heads up and that dry of a flop I’m up for seeing another card. I’m interested in how long you played with her and if you played any other hands with her. I was playing at the Rio and a lady on my left kept doing the same thing over and over. I made mental note and when it was my turn I four bet her and she went into the tank and started with if I fold will you show etc. I didn’t have a hand either just two overs so I was gambling and glad she didn’t she call but she knocked if off after that. If she would have called at least I knew where I was at and could reevaluate on the turn.
    A lot of good comments!

Peeling in position is fine HU, since there are so many cards that improve your equity (K, J, lots of straight draw cards, plus backdoor second nut flush draw). You can barrel turn clubs and river bricks having the Kc, as well as good Ax hands on turn A’s

All that said, folding can’t be too bad since you have K high and she bet almost full pot.

THANK you for all the replies, I learned something ! and btw I didn’t have a flush draw with 2 overs it was just a King of clubs and Jack of diamonds i had the two overs and backdoors like Andrew Neeme mentioned.
