Background:
These hands are from a standard loose/passive 1/2 game at a club in TX. These games are amazingly soft and sometimes play huge. I am averaging over 30bb/hr in these games over a large sample.V1: rarely open limps, and all sizing pre/post flop tend to be large.
V2: limp calls PF with a very wide range and frequently donks if they get a piece
V3: plays mostly solid holding and definitely gives off tells when not interested in putting more money into a potHand 1:
Hero: ~ $850 on button
Villain 1: Covers in Hijack
Villain 2: ~ $300 in BB
Villain 3: ~ $500 in CutoffV1 opens to $15, V1 calls, I call with 33, V2 calls. My image is super solid in this game and I have been playing fairly tight and have shown down only good hands.
Flop: K92 rainbow
Checks to me, I check back. I already have a sense V3 is done with the hand.Turn: 6 completing the rainbow board
Checks to me, and I decide this is good enough spot to start bluffing as V2 and V3 don’t seem to have anything and V1 seems to be mostly capped at QQ or worse. I am committed to the 2nd barrel if necessary if I only get one caller. I bet $40 into $61 and V2 folds, V1 tank folds and V3 quickly folds.River: A
Checks to me and I bet $85 into $141 and get snapped called by AK!Thoughts on choosing this hand to bluff as well as turn and river sizings?
Hand 2:
V1 is the same V1 from the first hand.
Hero: ~ $900 in cutoff
Villain 1: Covers in Lojack
Villain 2: ~ $300 in EPV2 limps, V1 limps, I raise to $15 with AsKc, both call.
Flop: AcQsJc
Checks to me, I cbet $25, into $48 targeting all weaker Aces, flush draws and gutters. V1 calls after a little thought.Turn: 4c
Checks to me, and I find this to be an interesting spot. If I thought that I was against likely strong ranges and I was not drawing at the nut flush if I was behind I might elect to pot control here. However, with the redraw and the wider ranges and given that the A, K and J of clubs are accounted for I thought a strong holding from V1 was less likely. I bet $50 into $98 targeting weaker aces and draws. He calls fairly quickly. Thoughts on this bet and sizing?River: Td
Checks to me, and I think flushes lead here frequently. Now that I have broadway this seems like a mandatory value bet. I bet $125 into $198 targeting 2 pair holdings and get snap called. V1 shows Tc6c! Thoughts on this river bet and sizing? Thanks in advance for the feedback.

I’m a member at Rounder’s in San Antonio, and this game sounds like a game that would happen at Rounder’s lol. For your first hand, being that you thought V3 was done with his hand, I personally like betting after the flop. Many occasions I have won and lost with pocket pairs because of over cards on the board. For me, I would’ve bet around $20 to see where the others were at. If someone called I would most likely give up on the hand after that. However in some cases I might bet close to half pot on the river if I think my opponent was betting towards some draws.
For your second hand I like the betting size pre flop and post. However, since you know that these players have wide ranges, after the river club I think it’s definitely wise to check. If he has the flush he would probably bet decently big there. It’s hard to fold the straight so it your play makes sense, but I would recommend checking at least once to give yourself an idea what he might have.

I’ll try to give my opinion 🙂
I actually think those are coolers. 1st hand, villains play thier hands super passively, no reason for you to think they would call. I like the bet turn and river, especially on the ace, villain might’ve folded Kx
Another way to play it would be to check it down, hoping to win with your showdown value. But in multiway, there’s a lot of overcards to dodge. Also, when villain check flop, c/c turn, he may have some ace high hands in his range, so, river may help him… Well, when he checks to you… I’m not really sure what I would’ve done.
Either way, I’d take note on this villain, passive with big (nut-ish) hands.2nd hand, i like your thought process, i think we’re often good on the river. But is it a bet? We’re targetting aces-up hands, but with a 4liner to a straight and 3-flush cards, that might be a bit thin. I mean, we’re probably good, but villain may fold worse than Kx. So when called, we’ll chop the pot, or lose to a small flush, imo, unless we know villain can call light
