2/5 nl at the Isle and we’re down to 6 handed. Unfortunately I’ve been super card dead this session, but the lineup is pretty juicy. I start the hand with about $450 and I’m the effective stack. Looking for a line check/discussion on all streets.

Hero is UTG with KsJh. In a tougher lineup I might just open fold here, but I know that there are several players behind that will be calling way too wide. I open to $15. Fish in MP calls, V1 who is a young reg calls.

    Flop ($50): Js8s5d

Hero leads for $30, Fish folds, V1 calls. I debated checking this flop oop against two players as it appears much better for their ranges than mine, but thought the board was draw heavy enough that I could get value.

    Turn ($110): Js8s5dKc

We turn top two, but I honestly don’t think it changes our hand much against villain’s range. I think he would have raised most sets and 2-pair combos on the flop as it’s a wet board and his image is LAG.

Hero leads for $75, Villain calls.

    River ($260): Js8s5dKc8c

River pairs the 8, but I imagine these are not really part of V1’s range. I think he primarily has missed flush and straight draws, and J’s, specifically JT, QJ, and AJ.

I have about $330 remaining in my stack, so about 1.3x pot. My debate here is do I bet again and target the J’s, or do I check and let him bluff with missed draws?

The 8 on the river is a good bluff card and I don’t think he is putting any more money in with a missed draw if you bet… If you bet than he is only calling with jacks, boats, queens or aces(lol), and 8’s… I would go for the check call in this spot because its more likely that he has one of those missed draws and will bluff on that 8.

I would Ck and evaluate. I would assume A8 suited would be in his range in position. I would evaluate his action and prob call.
I think if he had OP you would have gotten raised on flop so he could see where he was at.

I would bet in your position. He almost never has an 8 in this situation. KQ of S. AJ. A5 of S. 910. and other flush draws. You should be at the top of your range even with the 8 out there. He could be slow playing a set, but he would have raise with a wet board like that. Lot of missed draws that he will just fold, but if he has KQ or even AJ he might call.

i feel you really need to know if you had a busted draw here would you fire a 3rd bullet if the answer is yes then i think you just bet for value as its hard to be beat here but if your someone that will check with the busted draw i like check calling the river

personally i would just be jamming the river if he has 8x gg and you pretty much beat everything else 🙂
