Yo all
Got a question, maybe it’s a little picky, but, here it isI started to track my stats in live cash games. Vpip / pfr / 3b
I started to track ’em globally, but now i do it per position too.I play only occasionally, once a week or so, and i haven’t been playing as often since the beginning of the year.
So i only got 1000-1500 hands tracked, represents 55-65 hours (if i count in my tourneys).
I guess I should really start to look at them more seriously around at least 100 hours (even more) but i do what i can with the sample i got.My question was : for a 1/2 live game, should the stats look like online games? I used to have stats like 22/18/8 online (rough guess).
But live, up till now, im more like 21/11/1
Is it normal/ok that half the hands i play, i play them passively preflop?
I pretty much never open limp, but i sometimes overlimp ip with spec hands that could have good implied odds. I call raises too. And the other half of the time i play, obviously, i come in with a raise (either an open or an iso).Should i raise more? To get my pfr closer to my vpip?
And as for my 3b rate, yeah it’s too low. Even tho my sample is tiny, i already know i 3b QQ+ and AK sometimes.
I gotta find spots to 3bet wider i guess. What d’ya guys think about that?
Also, maybe that live 1/2 is just another game, and we can’t reproduce the same stats we used to get online.

Since there are more limpers in a live game than it use to be online (imo) i guess it’s ok to have a certain gap between our vpip and pfr (i guess)
But we still can discuss that, i love talking about stats 😉

However, I wouldn’t worry about how often you raise vs. 3-bet, etc. I think you have to play the situation as the situation arises. If you have a table of full of tight players, then you’re not going to 3-bet very often as you are going to respect their raises (unless of course you the best hands). If you are seeing players raise with a wide range of hands… that’s when you want to start 3-betting. So it just depends on your table. So play the situation, but don’t worry so much about how its breaking down in the long haul. If you are frequently playing at a casino where players are bad (raising with weaker hands) or aggressively players playing too many hands, then I would expect to see a higher level of 3-betting. Obviously if you get a lot of tight players, you’re going to be calling a raise more than 3-betting. So you have to balance your stats with the conditions. The most important stat is the profitability.
My suggestion is that stats are good, important, and plenty to learn from. But don’t lose sight of the forest from the trees. Maximize your opportunities, punish the weak players, and let the cards fall where they may. -
