    Hey guys,

Andrew and I are always trying to make the Meet Up Game experience better and I’m just curious if any of you have good ideas to improve them. Thanks for any thoughts or suggestions!

All I got is the usual thing I ‘spam’ your MUG videos with….come to Chicago with them. Never been to one…..yet

Besides you picking off my bluff and Neeme stacking me?

I made it to the AZ MUG. I think we got 5 tables going? I thought it was a really good event. Both of you guys got to talk with everyone, and I think most of the people there got to play at the table with one or both of you. Plus we all hung out for a good amount of time at the bar at the end. As far as all that I wouldn’t change a thing.

I just wonder how you guys handle the events now that they are bigger. I suppose that’s a better question for those that have been to bigger games if they felt like they got a fair chance to play and hang out with you guys or if they felt like they were standing in the corner watching. That would be my concern and I might be hesitant of attending a MUG that has 100 or more people planning to attend.

But the event I did go to was awesome and I had a lot of fun despite losing, so thanks for that guys!

Haha thanks for the replies. The Chicago area would be great. Once we make it to the Northeast, we’ll make that a priority.

I think we had 90 at the AZ MUG and it was a blast. That has still been one of the biggest ones that we’ve done. Anywhere around 100-120 people is pretty manageable. Usually everyone gets a chance to play with Andrew or I and most of the tables get to play with both of us. If for some reason it doesn’t work out then there’s always the bar afterward to meet up and talk about poker or anything else.

I’m curious if there is anything in game that we can do too or something we can add to make it more entertaining. Having food served by the poker room is always great. I’m wondering if there’s anything else.

Sadly I haven’t had the opportunity to attend one yet, I wasn’t really playing when the AZ one happened.

A few recommendations though from a lurker’s perspective:

    1. Try to organize a table of something other than NL holdem. Maybe something like PLO, or some of the stud games. This may be something that might not be possible at all events since I’m sure your audience is heavily weighted to NLH but a thought.

    2. Different table stakes. I’m not sure if all of your games are the same 2-5 or 3-5 but maybe something like one table of 5-10 and one or two tables of 1-2 or 2-2. It gives people an opportunity to play at a more comfortable stake. Maybe even some people want to try actual Limit Hold-em.

You’re down in Texas a lot. Do you ever make it up to Oklahoma? What do I need to do to get you guys here?

Hey Frank, it’d be great to go there. We don’t have any contacts in that area so maybe just let your poker room manager know that you think it’d be fun for us to throw an event in that direction. You can give them my email address as well: bradowen4@gmail.com. Tell them to reach out and then that’ll get the conversation going.

Any chance you’re planning any MUGs in the New England area? We need those Bradley dollars too.

Have a group of roaming strippers giving free back rubs.
