    2/3 NL live game
Opponent has been pretty tight all night.
    I’m wondering 2 things:
I felt like I should have value bet in case he had AT/J/Q? I was a little worried about A9 or A7…should I have been?
I wonder what happens if the river is a 6? He was floating with second pair so I assume he bombs it if I check to him when a 6 hits…should I call in that situation? Seems like it would be tough

Here are a few thoughts on this hand:

Preflop: I would probably not raise A5o in the SB with so many limpers. Raising is ok, but your reverse implied odds with so many limpers ahead of you can be significant. Plenty of folks will limp with better aces.

Flop: Leading is fine. Sizing half pot is okay, but maybe 60-70% pot is better given the number of players. If you get raised on the flop, you should evaluate size and player tendencies. Against a tight player, you might fold. By the way, given what he ended up showing, this player must not be as tight as you thought. Limping from early position and then calling a PFR with 96o is definitely not tight. It is loose passive, which is a very profitable type of opponent to play against.

Turn: Leading when you turn 2 pair is again good. Less than half pot is too small imo. I would again go ~60% pot.

River: 4h is basically a brick. The only straight draws that completed are 23 and 36, both very unlikely. If V spiked a set of 4s, so be it. So his range is a lot of 1-pair hands, with some small possibility of slow-played sets and 2-pairs and perhaps some missed draws like T8s. So I think going for a third street of value here makes a lot of sense. Checking is not tragic, and you might not have gotten paid anyway, but I think betting is the better choice. Given the check, definitely check-call if V bets here.

Hey Chris from 2 years ago, it’s me, I mean you…us from the present. Congrats on beating the 2/3 game for a sustained period and moving up to 3/5. You’ll be happy to know that it continues to be a profitable venture.
    Notes on this hand:
    1. I’m mostly surprised at how not terrible you are…as I was clicking the play button I was sure I was about to be completely horrified at your play…but not really!
    2. ok, squeezing A5 off from the small blind against like 20 limpers is a bit adventurous but hey, sometimes you just have to punish that game so I’m still cool with it
    3. yes, bet bigger on the turn
    4. hell yes bet this river – he doesn’t call probably with that exact hand but if he has a one pair A you are getting paid for sure.
    5. if the river is a 6, no way is he betting his 2p…the 2/3 players are always afraid of the better hand on the river.
    Cheers!!
