Hi guys i like the feedback on this forum i play 1/2,2/5 regullary when the games run,I am from Eastern Europe so mostly from Monday to Thursday the games in one casino near to me , that run are 1/2NLHe with 50euros min and 500eurosmax,and on weekends they open 2/2 with 100min to 1000max,and rarely 2/5 with min 200 to 1000 but rarely, and 2/2 with 100min its same dynamique like 2/5 with the straddle going on .So ithink that i am kind of lost in my game in 1/2 with 50euros min, i buy in 100bb or 150bb ,so my question is how do adapt to this format and improve my win rate ,i will give an example of one hand that i played some days ago so you can sense the dynamique of this format .So i am in sb with 230 euros efective ,the hand goes there is stradlle put on.So its 9handed Old passive pflop guy limps from utg ,young torney plr with 160 efective iso the limper to 14 in mp in highjack old guy calls 16 with 200 behind ,and its to me so ive got pocket 10-10 in sb ,the bb has around 160 and the straddle has arround 123,so i have 2 options here to call 14 without closing the action and play postflop oop or to 3b ,so the factor for me in this decision is that first of all i thought that i am not closing the action and that i am out of positon so i opted to 3b ,because i saw some orbits before that orignal raiser is an active plr and open like 4-7s,q-10s from mp and iso the same player who limped with q-k off some hands before ,also the limper i played with him before so he is weak pflop and limp folds a lot from ep ,so i 3b to 65 and the bb started and went into tank for some time and folded saying to me he had q-q ,then the straddle snap shoves 125,and it folds arround to me so the pot is 227 and i have to call 58 and i havent run the math but i think sligthly profitable call ,so i call and he shows K-K and holds .So my question is do i have to run it twice in this format because i always run it once ,because in the last 15-20sessions ive played in this format i had been often in similar spots. Thanks in advance and gl to all at the tables .

In the end, it only should make your profit line a bit less of a roller coaster if you run these spots a few times every time they show up

Knowing villain’s hand, we know we’re behind 80/20 running a single board.
If we miss and elected to run 2 boards, we now increace our odds a little bit, by removing 5 cards from the deck, so it’s now closer to 77/23 (if my calcutations are right)… (2 outs to win vs 43 unknown cards)
It’s pretty much the same. But now, let’s say we chose to run it twice and we hit on the first board, we’ll likely lose the second runout. Well, I’d be happy to chop a pot with TT vs KK 🙂
