Middle stage tournament, average chips around 8000. I’m second in chips and up against the chip leader head’s up. The only read I got on him is that he goes crazy with any ace. The flop is good for me after calling a 3-bet from him on the BTN. I’m not folding there so here comes the third diamond on the turn, and it’s an ace! I Lead because I feel that he might have one (Seems like he only play when he have an ace) and I think my 2 pairs are in front. Also I don’t want him to see a river for free (Mabye I should have bet way bigger on the turn). His raise indicates me that he probably hit his ace, and defending against a flush draw, so I call. River is probably one of the worst card of the deck for me so I check, hoping to see a cheap showdown, but there comes the shove! At this point I had a decision to make within the 40 seconds allowed me in the online tournament. I tough that this was a total bluff because his raise on the turn (as I saw it as a defensive raise against potential flush draw) and the shove on the river trying to represent the opposite of what he was representing on the turn, made non-sense to me, but again he might have rivered the straight (And to be honest, I dindn’t realise that) and called on the last second on the clock because of that controversy raise-shove on turn and river. Do you guys think it was a donk call for me? or my tough process was good justifying a hero call? (PS: hours later I took the first place in that tournament 😛 )

Well is was pretty loose to raise utg with k10 off to begin with, And risking your tourney on that board was a pretty sick call. He could of easily had a small diamond. And its online so its more than likely he does. But does he go all in with a small diamond? Prob not. Which would indicate a bluff all in more than likely. Or he could have the nuts and wants to look like a bluff. It was a sick call. Im not sure if i could do it. But good call

I agree with what the Meat grinder had to say in that it’s a fold preflop. It looks like you called a 3-bet preflop too? I’m glad it ended up working out wel. Congratulations on winning the tournament! I imagine your opponent didn’t tell too many people about how he busted lol.

Yeah I had a pretty solid image at the table at the time I would say, that’s why I made that UTG raise, to mix up my game a bit, but yeah mabye a risky hand I would agree with you on that haha

    fold pre!

    but as played

    on the flop check raise!

i dont like how you played the hand by the river your just hoping he is bluffing but he could even be bluffing with a bad diamond which is now actually going to get max value :/
