Playing a hyper turbo and I’m sitting on about 20 BBs when I get dealt JTo on the button. It folds around to me and I decide to call. 20 BBs seems like a little too much to get it in preflop and JT is a hand that flops well so the call seems to be the play here. Both blinds call.
Flop: QT4 with two clubs
Small blind checks and the big blind leads out for half pot. I call and so does the small blind.
Turn: King of clubs
Small blind checks and the big blind bets half pot again. He seems like he has a queen so with the flush draw getting there and hands like J9 calling with the open ended straight draw getting there I feel I can represent something to fold out a queen, plus I pick up the straight draw to go with my pair. I decide to shove, small blind folds, and the big blind tank calls with Q8o.
River: Blank
How could I have played that hand differently? Did I make a poor move on the turn? The king seems like the best possible card besides another ten or maybe a jack for me to make a move on. Poor play, poor call by the villain, or what?
