    what’s up poker nerds,

i decided that this year i was/am going to try and take more notes on my hands while at the table (hoping there would be some value in studying them later with exact detail on what happened in order to look for leaks in my game).

well, it’s the end of feb and i finally mustered up the strength to try it yesterday. I played a 4hr sesh and tried to note EVERY hand that I VPIP’d.

Holy Crap it was hard…when you get two or three OR FOUR playable hands in a row…forget about it.

Anyway, I’m just hoping to get some feedback from other players who have tried this, or do this or have opinions on any aspect of this.

The first thing i noticed was that i was noticeably trying to ‘play better’ lol…as if to not embarrass my future self when reviewing the hands.

other than that, idk as i’ve yet to go look at all the hands. I played 25 in 4hrs. that was more than i thought there would be.

3/5 $1500 buy in. profit $412 for the session. up about 5k for 2020 so far so good!

Good job on the note taking πŸ˜‰

I also take notes on stuff, at the table. But not every played hands, only spots where i wasn’t sure what to do, and/or big pots (won or losts).
Sometimes i only take note of one or two hands in a session. Some other times, i take note of 8-9.

I also try to take notes on villains that I’ve seen before, those i think i may see some other time. Just like we used to do playing online, double clicking villain’s avatar.
Brief physical description so ill remember the player and his style of play, some actions he made vs showdown I’ve seen, either against me or other players

I also started to track my vpip/pfr/3B (and even per position)
But i don’t think it’s really relevant for a smaller samplesize than a year or play. But still, i love stats and i have fun tracking them. πŸ™‚

Gj on your year’s results, ur making me jealous/envious, lol
