1-2-3 game $1 straddle on the button.
folds to me (stack~ $240) in MP, I make it $12 to go with AJ off, Cut off calls(stack~$250) and everyone else (button, sb, bb ) fold
flop comes A J 2 rainbow. we flop top 2
I C bet $18, villain calls.
Turn is a 9
I bet $40 and the villain after some tanking jams on me with his remaining stack. He has me covered.the villain here has been very splashy opening and calling very wide has been chasing as well as has been caught bluffing. In all a very loose player.
so after some time i make the call
the river bricks out and he shows pocket deuces for a flopped bottom set 🙁Anything you guys think I could have done different ? Should I have folded it there on the turn jam ?
Just a cooler. Pretty hard to fold that. He could be doing that with A9, J9, A2, and maybe some draws QT suited if the turn brought a flush draw. It’s possible to fold that if you know the player, or if you are really good and sure that you’re beat, but don’t feel bad about going broke there. A lot of players would.
