PatrickParticipantOK, So I am always amazed by the vloggers, and other players I talk with when recalling hands. They recall details so well it seems. Maybe they all have great notes, I’m not sure, but I just cant seem to do that. I generally pay pretty close attention in every hand, and actively analyze whats going on. In the moment I usually feel pretty good about my reads and lines. Usually, lol. But if you ask me about a hand 3 days after it happened I will be a complete blank for about 98% of them.
I do take notes. I use RunGood. I try to type detailed notes for big/important hands as soon as it happens (mostly so I can ask people about it later) but often find that hard to do because then next hand is playing, and the next…. And I do try to pay attention.
So my question is 2 fold. Firstly, maybe my memory is just shit compared to some of these people. Anyone have any good memory boosting techniques/exercises/ideas/advice?
Secondly, does anyone have a more efficient way of taking detailed hand notes? A way that doesn’t mean I need to sit out of the next 2 hands to type it all out on my phone before I forget what the turn card was, or what the 3bet amount was? Because if I wait an orbit, that shit gets fuzzy. By the end of session specific details are bout gone.

ParticipantGreat question Patrick … I suffer from the same problem. Maybe my memory is just crap. I will be interested to see any replies.

ParticipantWell I for sure remember the details of my beats a lot easier than my wins. I have a galaxy note for a phone and it comes with a stylist so I am able to hand write the notes fairly quickly while the next hand is being dealt.

Steven YoungParticipantYou could make voice recordings of the hand after. Might be faster. Or like grant said write them down by hand.

ParticipantThis may be a little off topic. But does anyone know a poker range tool for my PC that can handle multiple colors, preferably with the ability to place numbers in the square as well.
I use the app Range Helper on my phone. I like the ability to color code raises, calls etc. -
