    Hello everyone,

First, I’m a rec player working towards elevating my game.

    Second, love the v-log.

The first hand after a table break. UTG raises 2x the big blind, MP three bets, and the big blind went all-in. UtG player calls and MP folds. BB turns over pocket QQ’s vs KJs. QQ’s win.

The next hand, (The guy who just pocket QQ’s) opens UTG for 2x the big blind.
    I 3-bet to 2x the UTG bet.
    Folds around to the raiser.
    UTG goes all-in.
    I call (without much thought).
The two stacks were the same.
I turn pocket JJ’s and he turns pocket AA’s.
    Right move with JJ’s???

    Hi Mike!
I’m a young player looking to elevate my game as well. I would have made the same move you did. Its awfully tough to fold the 4th best hand in poker; especially when you do not know how the villain plays (I’m assuming you don’t have any prior experience with this player). I had nearly an identical situation in my last tournament, except I called with AcKc. It’s just the luck of the cards sometimes. Good luck at the tables!

    Hi Mike ,

Rec player here as well bit older 55 but just started playing two years ago…I am assuming the AA held up.

Well to be honest I would have likely tossed in the JJ. The story he is telling seems to strong and I wold Range him on top three pair or more likely AK. I completely get how being pre flop Argo makes it tuff to lay down. Been there. And JJ always sends a bit of a chill down my spine.

What about his play made you think you had him? Or were you thinking he was just trying to bully?

    Best Kurt

    Hey everyone,

    Yes, the AA’s held up.
I had no experience with the player.
Having just had QQ’s the previous hand, I thought he could be raising after winning a big pot.
I thought it would be a flip.
This is the daily tournament at the local card hall. There is a lot of flips with any Ace.
Also I feel like I can be bullied at the tables and am working on calling more.

    Thanks for the feedback

You really should note the stack sizes, blinds, and stage of the tournament to really analyze this spot correctly.
