I’m playing 1/2 Nl. $300 max buy in. I’m in for $300. Im the BB with 99, younger solid player in mp raises to $12, HJ and button call, I call. Flop is 973 rainbow, I check, it checks around to the button who bets $15, I call, Pf raiser folds, HJ calls. A 2 turns, I check again, unfortunately so does the HJ and button. A 4 rivers, I bet $45, everyone folds! How can I play this different to get paid?

It’s not a flop that will hit the pre flop raisers range very often. And your hand is so strong that it may be hard to get paid. Another example of how being out of position sucks.

You could have led the flop which could have gotten the same amount there.
You could have maybe raised the flopped after he bet. He might call with 2 overs in his hand. Plus there is another person in the pot who could potentially call.
You could have also lead turn after calling the flop. The raiser might call still with two overs or if the turn brought in a back door flush draw.
Slow playing is a little overplayed i think. I prefer being more aggressive with my strong hands like this. However your hand smashed this flop so hard it is unlikely that your opp have anything.
Overall. I think you got close to the maximum.

I think you are right, but with two people left to call behind me, I wasn’t ready to define my hand yet, as I was hoping the pf raiser would at least peal off one card, also hoping he had raised with a pair in his hand. And I was next to act after the flop bet, so I didn’t want to isolate him.
