Chicago Il, 5/10/20 game. My stack is 4k and in the low jack with 46 of Diamonds. I make it $60, button calls, small blind calls. Flop comes 4,4, K two spades. Check to me, I bet 75. Button folds, small blind makes it 150, I think for a minute and make it 400. Small blind shoves for 2600. What do you do?

As for background, this is my first time playing in this game and don’t know many of the player or their tendencies. I did see the same kid overplay a couple hands earlier in the night, but I don’t have a great feeling on the hand. I think it’s very possible the case 4 is in his range and if he has it I’m likely drawing very thin.

Do you call? What would you do differently? Just call the 150 on the flop and play a turn?

Preflop is pretty loose, but whatever. I would cbet a little bigger since people aren’t folding a K or flush draw for any price and are folding a lot of other hands regardless. I would probably flat his minraise to keep ranges wide… often people “raise to see where they’re at” and a 3b on the flop narrows his continuing range to flush draws and 4x. You might charge flush draws but even that has decent equity and you fold out a lot of the rest of his range.

As played, I dunno, it’s hard to make a pair, much less trips, and if you’ve seen him overplay hands already, call and hold vs flush draws or get there vs A4 45 etc. You don’t block any flush draws and he “never” has KK so I’m calling.

Thanks for the feedback, I ended up mucking. Didn’t know where I was in the hand and just had a bad feeling. Thinking about it away from the table I came to a similar conclusion, just calling the raise.

BTW Andrew love the vlogs, keep up the good work. Oh yeah, Brad you volgs are decent as well.
