I’m heading to Vegas Thursday afternoon and will be playing in the Big 50 – Flight B on Friday. I’m in the air about when I should sit down to start playing. I think I have a 2 hour limit, if I’m not in my seat by the start of the 3rd level I forfeit my seat and get my money back. I don’t like sitting down right at the start of these tournaments I’m usually stuck playing heads up until a few others finally make their way to the table. I play tight in the earlier levels to get my reads and see how aggressive the players are before opening up with wider hand ranges. Playing head up I’ll be forced to play more hands.

What is your take on sitting down right when the tournament starts VS waiting a couple minutes? I’m not saying I’m waiting till level 3 to start playing. Maybe just 20-25 minutes till 4 or 5 of us are at the table.

I’m going to be out in Vegas for 12 days, hope MUGs happens during that time….

Bro I would just show up on time and then play it by ear. You don’t have to start playing short handed if you don’t want to lol.
