Hi, I’m from the UK originally and play online where I built myself up a small bankroll. I have just moved to Australia for 6 months where there is no online poker *sigh*. My bankroll is around $1000 (AUS) which means my bankroll cant really afford the games in the casino’s. I have dabbled in them and found them to be very easy, but was wondering if anyone has any tips for an aspiring player who is normally conservative with their bankroll but unable to find small games!

Hi, I’m in the UK and are in a similar situation.

What I did was basically just to give it a shot; I set aside a budget of 2 buy ins out of my regular money and sat down. Between visits to the casino I would save what money I could and add it to my bankroll and build up my skills and my resources by also playing online.

    Hi Alex!

I’m from Estonia but moved to Australia about 5 years ago. I share the sadness that online poker is banned in Aus, hopefully they will sort this thing soon.

I’ve been into live poker lately more and more. I suggest you look up some pub poker places. Im located in Perth and here’s like 5 different organisers that have games pretty much every day of the week in different pubs. Low tournaments (50-70aud). If you drop out of the tourney you can play cash. And the level is soft! Heaps softer than the Crown casino 🙂

    Good luck!
