You’re down in Texas a lot. Do you ever make it up to Oklahoma? What do I need to do to get you guys here?

Hand 1 I think you played a little too passively. A check raise to the agro OP could have set you up to either open bet the turn a little higher, or if you had a feeling he might bet again, another check raise which probably would have won you the hand with a lot more value. I’ll give you a B- on this hand.

The second hand, you played quite brilliantly, IMHO. Too many poker players, even experienced ones, get married to AA way to easily. Your check call on the turn is good, and your call on the made flush was understandable as well. The fact you flat called when you hit what many would consider the nut flush, which obviously was not, is what separates net losing players from those with +EV. you get an A, and a lollipop for extra credit!

Fun stuff man, thanks for sharing.

Say, “Thanks for donating suckers, see ya tomorrow”

Do this a few times, and I promise you’ll have the donks and crazy agro players playing at you for the rest of your life…worked for me.

I didn’t perceive any angle shooting from your explanation of the events. Cutting out chips for a call, then thinking about that call surely isn’t an angle, no matter how the player acts (i.e. standing up, talking, etc). And the button calling his hand, and lying about it, well that’s just poker. I’ve had it happen to me before too. I was all in on the turn with an OP and the river was the third flush card. My OP says, “flush”, so I folded my straight only to see her turn over four to the flush. I wasn’t happy, but honestly it was my mistake for not turning my cards over before they ended up in the muck. Never did that again! Was that an angle shoot by my OP? At the time, and from my perspective it was, but in hindsight, I made the mistake of not turning my cards over when I had my entire stack in the middle.
