It was a bit of a weird situation usually I play at a different casino and at my regular spot there is alot less action and the player pool is really tight. This game was action and it was only my 2nd time here. The game was playing more like 2/5 which I have hardly any experience at. At my regular game I get away with alot of small bluffs that I size like value bets. I have almost no experience with bluffs bigger than a $100. So as you pointed out $175 would be a much better sizing if I was hoping to get a fold. I totally messed up the sizing. I think I just still get nervous about bluffing in general which is something I need to work on. I get what your saying about bluffing not being necessary at the 1/3 level and most of the time I play a strong range and bet for value. On this particular day I was definitely out of my comfort zone. Anyways thanks again for your feedback.

Thanks John I really appreciate your feedback and analysis of the hand. I definitely should have folded pre-flop and I should keep my over all range stronger. I like your sizing suggestion of $175 on the turn. I’m not a very comfortable bluffer and it is definitely one of my many weaknesses as a poker player. As played I completely agree that it turns into a blocker bet at the $100 size I chose. Thanks again your insight is helpful.
