He flopped the nutz. I dont think you could have gotten away from this. The odds of being flopped a made straight with connecting cards is about 1.3%. Not sure if unconnected is the same

We all make mistakes. Its hard to know proper sizing and even the pros mess it up when they are trying to get you to continue or even fold. Knowing a range doesnt mean you know the exact cards someone is holding… even more then that.. mistakes happen. I was in a middle round of a tournoment and went to raise 6k but accidently raised 1.5k into a pot of about 9k. The guy after me actually let go a better hand because the raise was so out of line for me he froze. I took the pot. After the hand i told him what happened and he laughed. I wasnt wearing my glassses and the color for the 500 is purple and the the 5k chip was a bluish purple. I grabbed the wrong chip.

You have to go over his hand possibilities. Your spot was the flop where you should have shoved or folded. he can have AA, KK or QQ. His SPR doesnt make sense for his bluff size unless he has those or possibly pocket pair 88, 55 or 22 or a strange combo for 2 pair which is crazy based on his line. The fact that you have played with him before and something told you to fold it was probably correct. My issue is you fed him another $125 before you folded. Ill roughly qoute Bruson. “when you play with a guy for a while your subconscious remembers and you shouldnt ignore those feeling you get”

This is possible using google maps if the admins wanted. Go to maps>Menu>My places>Maps. You can then create a google spreadsheet with areas for people (I wouldn’t include street addresses for obvious reasons). When you import that it will overlay it on the map. I just dont know if you can make that map interactive on this forum type

Your on the button and everything folded the the villan. Your range his huge and so is his. Without seeing multiple hands at the table its really hard to tell. How many hands are you playing per orbit. Are you leading out or playing passive. All of this matters. From what you have wrote he seems like a LAG and you may have a TAG image which is why he bet into you. On the cutoff… its easier to say what you 2 both dont have vs your range. You dont have 76o-23o. Thats about it for unplayable here. Because of the folds.. this hand actually plays 1v1. The check on the turn shows that neither of you have a King. You can also say he doesnt think you have and Q or a 2 or any flush draw because the flop killed that. Your likly cards are AJ or A10 with the most likly being J10 for an OESD.

Iam guessing its a bluff because he thinks you have a busted draw and he is holding an A.

If I had to guess, it has to do with your position. BB has a very wide range and if people at the table have been calling to protect their BB just because it might have disguised your hand. Put yourself in his spot for a second. Bullets. He is looking at you like a fish also because of your original write up. You flat preflop… You check the flop then call…. You check raise the turn which should have set off alarm bells for him. In my head I would have put you on 2 pair there KJ most likly. Not correct but correct enough to fold. He then calls which basically makes him pot committed. (you dont have much behind and are giving great odds) I would have probably flipped your bets with 100 on the turn then shove on the river but thats just my style to keep him there. Your bet gave him 2.55 to 1 odds. Mine gives him about 3.5 to 1.

also agree with above.. top off. You make yourself a easy mark because your SPR is way off

I did another one after this. I paid closer attention to stack sizing behind me realizing people not clear the way for a head to head all in like normal MTTs. Made it to round 10 on that one before the deck went ice cold on me. Not even Bluff equity most the time. 45 min of 10th round ante and blinds ate me up. Ended up having to go All in with QJ suited. Person that called had me covered by alot and hit 2 of a kind. Happens

I would recommend doing MTT at your local casino. I like the 120 to 160 range bounty. If you play right you will end up in later rounds and even if you dont win you can still take a few bounties. This will help you build to the next buyin. Just remember Ante’s matter and they will eat your stack and be mindful of who is behind you before you shove. Bounties alter peoples actions and someone will call your all in if they have you covered for a chance at your bounty.
