We are in the earlier stages of a tournament. Starting stack was 25k, I was up to about 50 in the UTG+2 (9 handed) en the guy to my direct left had about 13,5k.

I open 7c8c to 1100 (blinds 200-400). The guy next to me 3bets me to 3200. Now keep in mind that I have been opening a lot. I expect him to 3bet a little lighter (although there are a lot of players behind him to act, which makes it less likely to 3bet light). I hadn’t 4bet before, so I thought I might be able to push him off a not-monster hand. If he would happen to have a monster, I would still have a decent amount of equity with my 78s. That’s why I decide to rip it in when it gets folded around to me. He thinks for a while before calling with AQo and holding.

In hindsight, I think I might have pushed the envelope a little too hard. A fold would’ve obviously been fine, and a call might have even been OK too. Wonder what you guys would do in this specific spot!
