So, tonight played my first live hand game at a casino. Single table, 1/2 with 20 spread limit. 7 to 9 people at the table at any given time. I bought in for $150. I had to be patient as wow, I was getting crap hands but noticed that there was a lot of crap hands being played. Played a K10s and lost to KJo, didn’t sting too bad. My low point was down to perhaps $100. Got pocket Queens, won that hand, chopped an A8s hand, which I had until the river. Biggest hand was AA when the flop was all hearts and wouldn’t you know one of my aces was a heart. My opponent got a set on the turn, which fattened the pot as two other players got out. The river saved me as I got another heart and got some value out of my opponent.

After about 2 hours of play, walked away with $110.

I think I certainly could / should be more aggressive but tbh… was just trying not to embarrass myself. Did enough of that on my second hand when I accidentally revealed a card. other than that I did ok.

The limit games… very hard to move people off their opening. I was surprised what people were taking to showdown.

Overall good start for me. I’ll be back at it.

My first casino game was 7 Stud-8 at the El Cortez. Hit a wheel in five for the scoop.
