    Hi Randy,

Where’s the nearest room to you? Maybe consider coming out to a meet up game in Las Vegas or Los Angeles.

Great job on the video Dan. Thanks for posting man. Unlucky runout, think you played it great.

Poker Base is one that I use now that is free. It’s pretty basic but gets the job done.

With 15 bb’s, Upswing’s chart says you should mostly be calling in that spot, and a sliver of the time (<10%) jam. I imagine the shorter you are, the better it is to jam.

Lol, that’s a rough one. I’ve definitely had similar things happen to me as well.

    Hi Cody,

I highly recommend getting “The Mental Game” by Jared Tendler. That book will help you out a lot more than I can. There’s not a ton you can do other than either get comfortable in those situations knowing that sometimes you’ll win big and sometimes you’ll lose some or all of it back. That’s just the nature of it. If you’re consistently running up big stacks early on in the day, then it sounds like you’re one of the better players and you shouldn’t necessarily shy away from the game playing bigger. Ultimately you’ll want to be playing in larger and deeper stack games as you progress. I recommend pushing yourself out of your comfort zone bit by bit. Perhaps once you start feeling uncomfortable, stay for 15 mins extra the first day, then 30 mins, then 45, etc. This is typically my strategy when I’m moving up in stakes too.

Thanks man, all good now. My train of thought now looking back on this hand is that I’d likely bet bet bet and then if I got raised I’d fold. It’s a good way to do things unless draws miss and you want to induce a bluff from your opponent. Where is the location of this game you were playing?

    Hi Casey,

Was this a 2/5 game? Getting two streets of value is pretty good with your hand on that board. I likely would’ve checked turn for pot control and bet river if he checked back. I think all the hands that have value that you’re beating on the river will check back aside from hands containing a Q. There won’t be many hands he should be turning into bluffs either. Like I said in the beginning, two streets of value is good. Another train of thought that is successful is to bet until you’re raised.

Haha thanks for sharing Han. I’ve been in similar situations before. I once smashed my hand so hard on a table and hit a chip that it actually started bleeding. It’s hard to cut your hand on a poker chip by hitting it…

Haha that’s pretty sweet. How much did that pay?
